Planning to buy a digicam? Looking for models with 8 to 10 megapixel resolution? Wait a minute. Today, you can get cell phones that have cameras of equal or even higher resolution and high-end lenses.

I think Samsung launched SCH-B600 handest which boasts of 10 megapixel camera shooter. Sony Ericsson recently unveiled Cyber-shot, which has an 8 resolution megapixel camera. World's top cell phone maker Nokia has a 5 megapixel camera in its cell phone model N96, and is working on a higher upgrade.

In fact, camera phones sales long ago leapfrogged traditional camera sales, allowing Nokia to add "the world's largest camera maker" to its title.

So, do you think camera phones can make digicams go obsolete? Also, why do you think a high-megapixel camera phone Can or Cannot compete with a high megapixel digicam

Cameras have their own look and unique appeal for photography. Mobile phone cameras has less clarity and options also less.Those who loves photography prefers digital cameras only.
